Experience:
- 29 years experience as an Occupational Therapist including several years working in Musculo-Skeletal Functional Restoration and Pain Management programs, and over 13 years experience in Occupational Rehabilitation.
- Over seven years experience in Management within the Occupational Rehabilitation and Corporate Health industries.
- Injury Management Consultancy for injured workers with physical and psycho social injuries and illness (comp and non comp) including conducting and documenting workplace assessments in a wide range of industries e.g. Postal services, transport and logistics, manufacturing, ambulance services with all party liaison, negotiation and return to work planning,
- Working knowledge of the WorkSafe and Comcare Compensation systems.
- Medico-legal workplace assessments and report writing.
- Conducting and documenting activity of daily living assessments including the need for home help, home modifications, assistive equipment or adaptive techniques.
- Extensive experience in conducting training in manual handling and office ergonomics within Corporate Postal services, various Government Departments and within the manufacturing industry
- DEEWR approved assessor for Workplace Modification Assessments and Supported Wage System Assessments for Disabled employees
- Small Business Return to Work Essentials Consultant trained to assess and assist Employers to prepare all required paperwork for Worksafe including RTW plan and Offer of Suitable Duties for their injured employees under an Early Intervention model designed by WorkSafe
- Undergraduate facility based education for Occupational Therapy students
